When a note is set up with the Note Servicing Center (NSC) what happens next?
The lender (seller/investor) will be notified by mail the account has been set up and receive the account number as well as their individual password to access their account on line. Note Servicing Center records the payment from the borrower, computes and allocates principal and interest, deducts the servicing fee then transfers the payment to the lender by check, direct deposit to their bank account or wherever directed, including to their IRA retirement fund.
The borrower (buyer) receives a welcome letter notifying them the Note Servicing Center has been authorized by the lender to receive their payment direct along with their account number, payment coupons and envelopes for the balance of the calendar year. Payment options are: cash, check, wire transfer, credit card or automatic ACH (electronic) payment.
Our goal is to receive the payment, without hassle, and forward the funds to the lender as quickly as possible.
